Motorcycle enthusiasts would say, Hey, that motorcycle is only 155 cc. It would be better if you get a more powerful variant like the MT-25 or MT-09. As I mentioned, I'm not a 'motorcycle guy'. I don't care much about going 200kmph in a minute or whatever. I'm leaning more towards just having a cool looking bike! Laju-laju nak buat apa, kan?
Another motorcycle that I'm aiming for is the KTM Duke 200.
My fascination with photography started the moment I got my hands on a National Geographic magazine. It made me see the world through a different lens. I realized that even blurry, candid pictures could be beautiful because they told stories and even portrayed real emotions.
Besides that, I’ve also been experimenting with TikTok lately. It is indeed fun to create short videos but I feel that if I have a really good camera, I may be able to make a slow life kinda videos to be put in Youtube. Its flip-out LCD screen is a game-changer for vlogging, and having a decent sensor means I can finally move beyond the limitations of a smartphone.
In 2026, there’s a newer Mark II version available, but it's far more expensive and for a beginner like me, an older model is enough.
Next on the list is a gaming PC. This one has been marinating in the wishlist for decades.
I like to think I was a considerate child. Even though I spent every afternoon at the cyber café after school, I never dared to ask my parents for a PC of my own. My dad was a Felda settler and my mom a housewife; I knew our family couldn't afford such a luxury. So, I buried that dream deep inside. Honestly, I buried the dream so deep that I almost forgot it was there, replaced by the responsibilities of being a son, then a husband, then a father. The dream re-emerged I think around the time my father passed away right before the start of Covid. I think it was because I wanted to drown the loss of my father by playing games.
I’m still putting other people’s interests ahead of mine. There’s a lingering guilt—a feeling that if I finally get that rig, I’ll lose the precious time I have with my wife and kids.
I’m not a tech-savvy person. If I ever go through with this, I’ll likely just walk into a shop and say, "Look, I have this much amount of money. What can I get?". Right now, my gaming world is small—mostly Counter-Strike 2 and Minecraft. But that’s the "PC-less" me talking. Who knows what worlds I’d venture into if I actually had the keys to the kingdom?
Maybe I’ll finally get one when the kids leave for college. Or maybe, just maybe, the "Responsible Adult" can finally give that kid from the cyber café a win.
So, yeah, those are the things on my wishlist so far. A wishlist isn't just a list of things to buy; it’s a map of who we want to become. For now, I’m content being the guy with the old EX5 and the smartphone camera, because those are the tools that helped me build the life I have today.
But it’s nice to know that when the time is right, the super cool motorcycle, flippy flip camera and the awesome gaming rig are waiting for me.
