SINGULAR AUDIENCE

It seems that things have been going great for one of my favorite star, Avril Ramona Lavigne. She got married to rocker Chad Kroeger, the lead of Nickelback on July 1st & have just released her self titled album recently.  As opposed to Avril's previous album, Goodbye Lullaby , which is pretty mellow & romantic, her latest one is fun & happy. The theme of the album is staying young & happy, reminiscence of happy teenage moments. Songs like Rock n Roll , Here's to Never Growing Up , 17 , Bitchin' Summer , Bad Girl & You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet  are all very fun to listen to & put me in a good, lively mood. Because of that, I think the cover doesn't really reflect the album. It's should be replaced with a more cheerful cover, reflecting how young hearted & wild Avril really is. Among the tracks mentioned earlier, I think I like  You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet  the most because of Avril's beautiful runs at the ...

It's rather hard to classify what genre Paramore belongs to... Are they punk rock? Are they pop alternative? Are they indie? Well, the release of their new self-titled album on 5th April 2013 made it much harder to figure their genre because of its diversity... Besides their usual fast rocking tracks like Now and Fast in My Car , Paramore treated listeners with gospel with Ain't It Fun , pop with Still into You , slow sweet ballad with Hate to See Your Heart Break and a few other genres...  " Wait, did you just mentioned gospel ????" Yes, ladies and gentlemen... Paramore has a gospel track now...  I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with the album when I first heard it... I mean, I was expecting fast rocking track with Hayley screaming and all that shit...  However, after about two weeks listening to it again and again, the album just grew into me... Now I'm loving the gospel track, Ain't It Fun , and enjoy the melodramatic ...

 Lately, I've been immersing myself with Avril Lavigne 's fourth and latest studio album, Goodbye Lullaby ...  As mentioned in one of my previous posts , I've been a fan of Avril since the release of her first hit single, Complicated, from her very first album, Let Go, in 2002... Through out the years, I cannot deny that because of her change in style from rock to slutty, my support for her was going up and down the hill but her fourth album somehow brought me back the strong feeling of admiration towards her... Believe me when I say my eyes were teary after I found out that she wouldn't be coming to Malaysia for her 2011 Asia tour... She's definitely on the top of my list of people I must see performing on stage before I die besides Hayley Williams of Paramore and the guys from My Chemical Romance...
